We’re traveling back east for our feature this week. Take a look at this lovely wedding at the Nauvoo temple. We just love the bright, summery hues of yellow and green, the rustic, outdoorsy feel of the tree stumps, and the whimsical touch with the pinwheels. Feel free to soak in some inspiration, summer brides. The wedding is saturated with the warm and joyful personalities of the sweet bride and groom. So grab a pitcher of lemonade, and enjoy!

From the bride: Like any love story worth hearing, it all started with a case of Dr. Pepper and a bag of chocolate. Keenan was staying with my best friend Misty and her family for a few weeks. One day he came home with the aforementioned Dr. Pepper and chocolate for a fun night in. Misty was immediately hit with deja vu because, for the length of our friendship, I always brought the exact same thing to her house for sleepovers. She looked at Keenan and said “There is someone I think you should meet.” And so it began.

We started spending time together as friends, because I didn’t think I wanted to date him.  He was charming, funny, ridiculously good looking (his words), and great with kids, but he was younger than me, and I thought that was a deal breaker.
At the end of the month, I went to see “Eat, Pray, Love” with some friends, and my defenses broke. Whatever it was, dating Keenan turned out to be the best decision I ever made. It only took me a few weeks to figure out that Keenan was the one I wanted to spend eternity with. It was the first time I was ever the boring one in a relationship, and surprisingly, I loved it!! And I still love it now.

The theme for our wedding was inspired by the interior of my dad’s office. It has barn wood lined walls, and a molded tin ceiling. Its always been my favorite room in my parents’ house!
