Aren't you the lucky bride! Your fiancé is already starting to look like the perfect husband because he actually asked for your help in finding the perfect engagement ring.
To get an engagement ring that reflects your unique beauty, you need to first know what your beauty style is. Your style can be found in the clothes you like to wear, your make up preferences, and the celebrities you admire. Look at the styles below to see which one best fits you, and then check out our engagement ring suggestions to bring out your special beauty style.
Your beauty is all natural. You wear very little makeup, if any, and you're probably vegan. You love outdoor activities like surfing, hiking, skiing, or anything that gets you out of the house. Your clothes are cute but not flashy. You are confident and you smile a lot. You love to feel the earth by walking barefoot.
Ring suggestion: A simple platinum band with a round-cut diamond in a low setting.
You love being the center of attention -- and you usually are! You dress to impress, often wearing glittery makeup. You like to laugh and you always had a gang of girlfriends around. You love to dance which is no wonder because you're probably the best dancer in the room.
Ring suggestion: An emerald set in a white gold band with tiny white diamonds inset around the band.
A little bit flirty and a little bit of an idealist, you always have a vase of flowers to brighten up your room. You love dresses and skirts. Your makeup accentuates your lips and the blush on your cheeks.
Ring suggestion: Princess cut diamond in a yellow gold vintage setting.
You don't follow the fashion trends, you make them. You like to try a bit of everything -- shy, high impact, subtle -- and you fold it into your own style. You like dark eye makeup and custom-painted nails. When everyone in the room turns to watch you enter, you feel right at home.
Ring suggestion: An emerald-cut diamond in on a platinum band with small emerald-cut diamonds encircling the band.
Can anyone really know you? You don't give much away, except to your closest friends. You prefer dark makeup styles and you'd rather deflect intense conversations toward others than reveal too much about yourself.
Ring suggestion: A split-shank yellow & white gold band with a cushion-cut yellow diamond.
Skeleton earrings for Halloween? Check. Video games with the guys? Check. At the ballgame you somehow get cotton candy in your hair? Yup. Your style is like the weather: it can change hourly. You delight in pranks and you think people who don't laugh are bores. Makeup? Yeah, sometimes. Other times? Who cares!
Ring suggestion: Pink sapphire in a bypass setting with white diamonds on each side.
You have a love for makeup, hairstyles, and clothes that never go out of style. Your hair is in long layers or a cute bob. Your makeup reminds people of Audrey Hepburn. You like clean lines on your skirts and kitten heels. Nothing looks fake or forced about your beauty and it never goes out of style.
Ring suggestion: A pear cut white diamond in a rose gold setting with filigree on the sides.
You move too fast for makeup to stay on very long. You love extreme sports like BASE jumping and cutting-edge sports like kiteboarding. You almost always wear a ponytail and you don't even own a pair of high heels.
Ring suggestion: Solitary diamond in a platinum setting that won't get snagged on your clothes.
You can be like any of the beauty styles above -- and sometimes more than one at a time. You have an eccentric charm that draws people to you. Your friends sometimes describe you as "quirky." You aren't bound by convention or anyone's standards but your own.
Ring suggestion: A custom free-form setting based on an avante garde design with a nontraditional stone like a ruby.

From the photographer: Abby & Andrew’s wedding couldn’t have been any better! Perfect weather, sunny beaches, great friends and family, a gorgeous temple, and lots of love! We started out with a sweet “first look” and formals on the temple grounds, followed by a quick stop at Windansea Beach in La Jolla to wrap up our session. The reception was absolutely gorgeous and took place in Abby’s beautifully manicured back yard; a romantic scene, with fruit trees and flowers. Their first dance took place under the avocado tree, and as they left for the night, a long trail of friends and sparklers lit up the front yard. Andrew has been one of my favorite grooms ever! My brides almost always comment on how much fun they are having during a session, but Andrew mentioned more than once what a great time he was having and had such a grateful attitude. I just love that about him! Enjoy!
